A hidden treasure and an uncut diamond? The value of small-scale hydro power production in future power markets and improved operations for higher resource efficiency

This project aims at evaluating and analysing the potential value in higher resource efficiency by means of improved operations and automatization of small-scale hydro power production based on the technical know-how that Hydro Machines have and price signals from electricity markets.

The study covers the technical, environmental, regulatory, microeconomic as well as macroeconomic perspectives and can contribute to increased flexibility, more effective price formation on balancing markets and reduced CO2 emission.
