To accelerate the energy transition towards renewable energy sources, an energy carrier such as hydrogen, is of great importance. However, the levelized cost of green hydrogen needs to be reduced drastically to reach cost-competitiveness.
This project (SEGH) addresses the need of efficient and flexible electrolyzer with low OPEX and CAPEX to enable hydrogen production below the cost goals set by most of the energy organizations by 2030 (1.5 US$/kg).
This technology has been tested and validated in the lab-scale prototype by a third-party evaluation (RISE) that will be scaled to a pre-commercial level and tested as a pilot unit (minimum valuable product) to evaluate the key performance indicators.
This will facilitate reaching out to potential stakeholders in the hydrogen market and establish the business model of the technology.
