Grant Description

The project will develop and study wind turbine’s ability and possibility to be an active participant in producing renewable electric power and ancillary services to the Swedish grid.

This will be done in a stable way for the grid as well as in a cost-effective way for operators and owners of wind turbines.

Further, the different methods that will be developed and tested in the project should be stable for both electricity production on large-scale national level, and for smaller grids with a weak on non-existing connection to the larger grid.

The ancillary services that will be studied and demonstrated in the project is frequency control, voltage control and island mode.

The goal of the project is that more wind turbines should deliver ancillary services to the grid and that the security of the supply for the Swedish grid increases.
