Sinom: A climate-smart web-based tool for datadriven maintenance and renovation planning

Reducing the energy demand of the aging building stock in Sweden is key in addressing the climate crisis.

The need for extensive energy renovations with limited resources have created a complex problem that is difficult to address for building owners with the manual and traditional ways of planning.

Sinom is an easy-to-use planning tool that automates planning processes where property owners can quickly create multiple investment plans for necessary maintenance and renovation measures.

These plans can be evaluated for their life cycle costs, energy and CO2 emissions making it possible to plan maintenance and energy renovation measures in line with energy and emission reduction targets and budget constraints.

The purpose of this project is therefore to verify the developed tool with a customer , adapt the tool to their needs and requirements to improve the tool's usability and further develop it into a simple and intuitive product they can use in their work.
