Development of automated climate calculator for small and medium-sized companies and organizations – a scalable solution for effective climate mitigation in Sweden

This project aims to develop and launch a service in the form of a web tool, that in a simple, cost-effective and scientifically sound way enables small and medium-sized Swedish companies and organizations to measure and understand their emissions and act to reduce them, meet legal GHG reporting requirements, and – in the longer term – achieve set climate goals.

The tool can also be used by public organizations to obtain better estimates of upstream emissions associated with suppliers, and put pressure on suppliers to measure and reduce their emissions within the framework of public procurement. To achieve these goals, the project will examine and verify the technical, computational, business and market conditions for the intended solution, and examine how it can be designed to respond to potential customers’ requirements, needs, wishes and willingness to pay.

The project consists of five work packages and is carried out by Svalna in collaboration with several potential customers.
