In the project, APR Technologies will develop and verify its unique and powerful battery pack for peak shaving, together with the customer. The Sucooperation partner will assist with expertise in peak shaving and support for business development.
Peak shaving with batteries is growing and enables increased use of wind and solar energy, improved charging of electric vehicles, and reduced costs for energy consumers.
APR's new battery pack with optimized liquid cooling technology means that batteries for peak shaving can handle much higher effects than regular batteries, which means that much fewer cells are required, and the pack can be smaller and cheaper. The batteries are also safer against thermal runaway, and enable much easier and cheaper recycling of the cells.
More even distribution and better control of the temperature ensure long life of the cells. In the project, APR will adapt its battery modules for peak shaving and test/verify product with customer.
