F&I demonstration of grocery flow to an access-restricted area with electric trucks will be carried out with the aim of developing a socio- and business-economic total system solution that satisfies environmental req. incl. reduced use of fossil material, improved energy efficiency and low emissions, both for operation and construction of the system.
A business LCA from a total system perspective will be developed and applied to find out how this type of transport solution can become competitive.
Various subsystem solutions that can contribute to the goal will also be explored, including: logistics planning (consolidation, routes, vehicle dimensioning, etc.) based on the needs of senders and receivers; a well-insulated body for refrigerated and frozen goods with low air leakage and optimal cooling unit design; truck platform with energy storage and digitized functionality; an integrated control system for optimizing the function of the overall system.
