Condore solves the problem of planning transport assignments, for one or more vehicles, where the range of the vehicles and the need for charging are included.
The problem is so difficult that it cannot be solved without formulating it as a mathematical optimization problem and solving it with the help of a computer.
By including advanced models of vehicles and their surroundings, energy consumption, aging and temperature dependence of the battery, electricity price, and access to chargers can be included in the problem. This lies at the forefront of research today.
The combination of expertise in mathematical optimization and vehicle modeling gives the project the opportunity to solve this industrially and scientifically relevant problem.
Condore could accelerate the transition to fossil-free transport by, in addition to engineers and researchers, also including business developers and users from the transport sector. Results and implementation are reported in a demonstration series.
