The aim of this project is to increase knowledge on the role of local energy communities in a sustainable energy transition.
This is done by practically study how energy communities can contribute to local benefits, apart from an energy transition and how new forms of cooperation with other actors can look like.
The project is a cooperation between Lund University, Röstånga energy cooperative (and their consultant EvalPart AB) and the municipality of Svalöv. Coproduction of knowledge between the project partners and the reference group is a central element.
The project includes participatory research on the activities of Röstånga energy cooperative and case studies of similar energy communities in Sweden. In the reference group of the project representatives from Kraftringen, SERO, Coompanion and academia will be included.
The results of the project will support the Swedish development of energy communities and increase knowledge on the local benefits they can contribute to.
