Industrial symbiosis in times of energy crisis – working to promote increased biogas production through cooperation

Biogas production and utilization is a circular system that can contribute to energy supply and climate transition.

The biogas system however needs to involve industrial actors and other organizations in order to develop the full potential of the biogas market.

In this project, we will actively work on understanding drivers and barriers to industrial symbiosis in a biogas context, and to identify suitable forms for stakeholder collaboration.

This project aims to identify the actors, their roles and current and potential interactions within the system of industrial symbiosis.

While doing so, we will involve business partners from different parts of the value chain that has an interest in developing the biogas market, sustainable business models, and industrial symbiosis.

A framework for establishing practice-based business development including co-operation among stakeholders will be developed. Effects will be more circular solutions in society and more biogas produced and utilized.
