The feasibility study will investigate the possibilities of establishing a test bed in Skellefteå with regard to electromagnetic compatibility of electric aircraft, eVTOLs, drones and connected electrified powertrains and charging infrastructure.
The purpose of the project is to contribute to a faster electrification of the transport sector, where the electrification of aviation is a central part of achieving the program's impact goals of reduced greenhouse gases and sustainable transport supply.
At the same time, the electromagnetic compatibility of electric aircraft and associated equipment is today an under-researched area, whereby there is a risk that either over-specified airports are created or that aircraft engines and other installed systems create disturbances in the operations of the airport and others.
