The project will develop an expert system for automated process optimization within buildings. The capabilities will be demonstrated through a scenario that will support the parallel use of district heating and heat pumps to improve energy efficiency and reduce costs, without sacrificing user comfort. For this purpose we will rely on a fully explainable AI to make decisions based on data from the building, weather forecasts and hourly energy prices.
The solution will be tested in real-world environments to evaluate its efficiency and identify areas for improvement. The solution should be adaptable to other scenarios within automated analytics for energy efficiency.
We will build upon a previously developed proof of concept and evaluate different reasoning engines to propose a robust and cost effective alternative for real life scenarios.
We will also develop a go-to-market strategy to package and offer a new service to customers within the real estate and property management sector.
