Evaluation of energy-saving effect of new database software

The increased digitization in society means that companies worldwide are storing more and more data. This leads to an increased need for servers that can store the data and be used to analyze the data collected.

Servers are often kept in large data centers and projections show that the world's data centers are expected to go from representing 1-2% of global energy consumption in 2020 to 10% in 2030.

Vesiro's algorithms are based on 8-years of R&D and enable much faster searches in databases, which means that the server hardware where the databases are stored is used more efficiently. The purpose of the project is to show the energy-saving effects Vesiro's software can provide.

During the project, a first version of the software will be developed by Vesiro and then tested to demonstrate its energy-saving effects.

The results will be an important part of Vesiro's work to develop the value proposition, as Vesiro will have figures on the savings we can give potential customers.
