Behaviour change is essential to achieve redistribution of households’ electricity use with the goal of minimising energy use during peak times.
The proposed project will involve an interdisciplinary working group and apply cutting-edge methods from behavioural science and design thinking and thereby generate insights of key behaviours and identify behaviourally informed strategies and solutions that promote demand flexibility among Swedish homeowners.
The project will also generate valuable insights regarding the barriers and facilitators that influence demand flexibility among small house owners in Sweden.
The results from this so-called behavioural diagnosis will be presented in an academic article and published in a peer-reviewed scientific journal.
Another output from the project will be a public report that presents actionable recommendations on behaviourally informed strategies and solutions that can be adopted by the energy industry, policymakers and small house owners.
