The project is about an innovative, patent pending heat pump for which electricity is not essential to operate. Instead, technology has the advantage of flexibility in the sources of energy such as solar heat, biofuels, green hydrogen, geothermal, and green electricity. Compared to any direct heating system such as boilers and heaters, the technology can boost the heat 2-5 times for heating of spaces which is equivalent to 50-80% energy saving and reduction of CO2 emissions. Furthermore, it can generate cooling for industrial applications and district cooling.
The developing heat pump can work at high temperatures beyond the capacity of the heat pumps available on the market, which is attractive for food, chemical, and pulp industries. The refrigerant of this heat pump has zero global
warming potential (GWP). Regarding the flexibility in energy source, the developing heat pump is attractive for many market segments in Sweden and for export.
