Potential, value and conflicts of goals for new flexible resources

The project will map three things i) the technical, economic and social flexibility potential; ii) the value and impact that flexibility can have on the local electricity grid; and iii) barriers and incentives for stakeholders who want to contribute with flexibility in different markets. The project will also analyze the incentives for different actors, how different uses of flexibility interact and which conflicting goals exist between these.

The project is expected to contribute new knowledge, facilitate investment decisions, contribute with more flexibility to the power system and contribute to more efficient use of flexible resources.

The project is an interdisciplinary collaboration between academia and industry. Closely linked to the project is a reference group with participants from the entire value chain for flexibility. Results and strategic direction will be discussed with relevant target groups continuously during the course of the project.
