The project aims to investigate the possibilities of increasing the degree of electrification with Electro Hydrostatic Actuators, EHA and Electromechanical Actuators, EMA, and thermal management within electrified heavy vehicles and work machines, and to develop application-specific electrified solutions for various areas of use to accelerate the transition to a fossil-free society .
We will study how EMA and EHA works in the project participants' applications, such as HIAB cranes, Huddig backhoe loaders and different types of timber handling grippers from the HSP Gripen, and evaluate the potential to recover energy and integrate EMA efficiently into all-electric vehicles.
Our goal is to develop innovative solutions that can contribute to a more sustainable transport sector and increase the efficiency and performance of heavy vehicles and machinery. We also want to investigate the possibilities of manufacturing these solutions in-house to ensure high quality and cost-effectiveness.
