Grant Description

The project aims to promote the transition to sustainable energy supply by implementing an innovative energy flexibility solution in grocery stores. The solution utilizes the frequency in the power grid as a control parameter to adjust the electricity consumption in the refrigeration systems of grocery stores. Through this, Ambidex can participate in the Frequency Containment Reserve - Up (FCR-D) program, where we strive to contribute to the green transition and the stability of the electrical system while generating revenue streams by selling the opportunity to manage the load of grocery stores.

After the project's completion, the electricity consumption of grocery store refrigeration systems will be able to adapt to the needs of the energy system. This contributes to stability and security of supply in the energy system, while increasing flexibility, enabling the implementation of additional renewable power as the system adapts to more variable production.
