The project takes off where our empirical tests show that batteries that are exposed to cold climates can handle most operating conditions relatively easily as long as the battery has reached its operating temperature. In cold conditions, the road to the operating temperature is both a slow and energy-consuming process.
To solve this challenge, we have conceptualized a battery functionality for heating batteries that surpasses existing systems in both performance and cost.
Within the scope of the project, we first take the concept through theoretical optimization to calculate the best possible conditions and performance. Then we build the solution on a full scale, and finally, we validate the theories empirically in a lab environment.
If the results prove to be as good as the hypothesis indicates, the next phase is to proceed with patent registration and then move on to testing with end customers.
