Full Scale MVP for assisted horizontal loading of semi-trailer

The project concerns the development of a prototype (minimum viable product) in full scale of a driving assistance system for horisontal loading of semi-trailers onto railway wagons. The assistance system comprises a driving assistance software and a sensor structure, for assisting a driver (or directly drive a tractor) to loading a trailer onto a flat loading area of a railway wagon from the side.

The assistance system is one component in a new concept for more efficient transshipment of trailer in connection with combined transportation, which leads to higher accessibility and competitiveness for combined transports. Thereby, a faster shift to an energy efficient and fossil free transport system is enabled.
