Heavy and long-distance transport transition still needs to be faster due to technical and financial obstacles.
Hydrogen-powered vehicles are seen as an opportunity to accelerate this development; within a few years, the number of filling stations will increase from today's 5 to just over 100.
However, due to the physical properties of hydrogen, it is associated with challenges to design a technically and economically efficient supply system. This project studies how an efficient supply system for filling stations for hydrogen should be designed.
In close cooperation with an upcoming operator of filling stations (Vireon/Norwegian H2) and a logistics operator in fuel distribution (BDX), data is collected to create quantitative mathematical models describing the supply system. Using these models, possible solutions are optimized and evaluated closely with industrial partners.
The results are presented and discussed in a seminar within the project.
