This project aims to develop comprehensive solutions for retrofitting heat pump systems in non-residential buildings, involving suppliers, customers and the society.
It will involve rigorous case studies, stakeholder engagement, user-centric design, and well-defined research activities aligned with Swedish energy goals.
The project will foster international collaboration through participation in IEA's Annex 60 in the form of a joint project with RISE, LU, KTH and Svenskt Geoenergicentrum as the executive team, contribute insights by publishing peer-reviewed articles, develop practical guidelines and tools to support decision-making, and strengthen Swedish competence in sustainable building practices.
With its systematic methodology and clearly defined work packages focusing on techno-economic analysis, monitoring, evaluation, and dissemination, this project will generate actionable knowledge to accelerate the adoption of renewable and efficient heat pump systems in the building sector.
