Drones has become popular and are used in a variety of applications in society. However, there is a lack of powerful fossil-free drones that can replace machines.
GI Lift is developing a system with MTOW of 1 tonne. Initial focus is forestry where work from the air saves large values.
The system is aimed at spreading ash and fertilizing as well as for transporting trees and plants. The forest industry is aiming for fossil-free forestry by 2030, which is a big challenge. We help them reach their goal. The system is fossil-free and can be used in a variety of other contexts where the need for heavy lifting is great.
We have a design on the multicopter. Durability tests are currently being carried out on components. We have initiated studies around the generation and storage of electricity. We have started studies on replacing batteries on the craft. Funding from the Energy Agency is important to develop the system to its full potential and solve associated research and development.
