Grant Description

The E3D project addresses important issues in building facades, aiming to enhance sustainability and efficiency. Traditional facades face customization, energy, and efficiency constraints due to standardization and labor-intensive methods.

The E3D, introducing a solution through 3D printing of concrete passive façade elements, aiming not only to redefine architectural expression but also to optimize resource and energy consumption, combating climate variations and moisture-related damages.

The outcomes assured by consortium expertise include a reduction in resource consumption (labor and materials), together with the energy efficiency tailored to climate conditions. Sustainability and a user-centric approach are central, guided by stakeholder and life cycle assessments.

Essentially, E3D goes beyond façade construction, aiming to construct a sustainable future for the construction industry, prioritizing energy, and resource efficiency.
