The project includes the development and rollout of smart EV charging, primarily software but also certain hardware components, including i. scheduled charging to: a. smooth out power peaks and troughs in the building, taking into account other loads in the property (peak shave), b. minimize the electricity cost for the property owner (spot arbitrage);
ii. enabling grid flexibility via FCR-D throughout the year, occasional e.g. 10-20 times per year.
The solution is completely focused on B2B, i.e. commercial properties and apartment buildings, and can substantially improve a successful and energy-efficient electrification of private transportation.
The technology includes a complete technical solution for the entire chain to technically enable the above two points connected to clusters of electric car chargers. This means scheduling, and optimizing, when charging takes place as well as meeting the technical requirements to offer flexibility services to grid owners.
