Grant Description

The FLEdge project focuses on developing a hierarchical energy management system emphasizing energy flexibility, using Edge-Energy Management (EEM) devices within a distributed and decentralized architecture.

It aims to optimize energy management in buildings and neighborhoods, transforming them into Positive Energy Districts (PEDs), which produce more energy than they consume.

The project adopts a human-centric approach to ensure residents' comfort and well-being while integrating Demand/Response (D/R) commands and smart city solutions.

Advanced technologies like edge computing, AI, and IoT are leveraged for optimizing energy use and fostering smart, green urban environments.

Additionally, the project aims to enhance the interplay between different energy systems and raise public awareness about sustainable energy usage.
