Innovative bio-based packaging solution

The project handles the development of innovative technology, including a new bio-based packaging material and an innovative process for its production. The new packaging material is stiffer and stronger, has lower weight, and is cheaper to produce than corrugated board. The innovative process is less expensive to implement, more flexible in its execution, contributes to an improved working environment and offers higher productivity, than the processes currently used to produce corrugated board.

Significant climate gains are obtained when replacing corrugated board with the new packaging material.

The project's goal is to produce a prototype, which verifies function and enables demonstration of the innovative technology, patent protection for the innovative technology, and to establish cooperation with customers regarding the further development of the innovative technology. The project's results form an important basis for the commercialization of the innovative technology.
