Grant Description

In Alby industrial park, RES Energy plans to establish Europe's largest hydrogen plant. It is planned in a unique industrial symbiosis with a land-based fish farm, which enables the green hydrogen production to be a resource-efficient and long-term sustainable process that also contributes to the production of sustainable fish and raw material for cultivation soils.

The concept has good opportunities for large-scale market diffusion given the transformation of the energy system, the rapid growth of fish farming and the large need to find fossil-free raw materials for soils.

A part of the symbiosis where the waste heat from the hydrogen plant and the fish sludge from the farm are used to produce a fossil-free cultivation raw material will be verified. The possibilities of replacing peat and fertilizer raw materials with the fossil-free raw material in the production of soils will be tested, and the business model, business plan and implementation and commercialization plan will be pres
