MEGIN is a modern controllable CO2-neutral CHP plant intended for both urban and rural areas. The MEGIN concept enables just over 40% better efficiency for extracting electrical energy from biomass compared to similar system solutions. The intended innovation MEGIN is a combined heat and power plant for continuous operation but also a complement to the solar & wind systems as it can start and stop as needed and can enable a balancing in electricity production.
The finished MEGIN system is intended to be sold to customers who need electricity and heat, such as agricultural companies, companies with access to biomass, companies with large heated premises and district heating plants.
The effect is that the project, through simulation and analysis, provides a basis that scientifically and realistically verifies and justifies MEGIN's functions and efficiency. Results are intended to be used before contact with investors and customer groups.
