Institutional solar thermal stove system for India

Renetech in this project seeks to deploy a larger scale solar thermal cooking solution for institutional use in India.

The project aims at finding partners and understanding the conditions for successful deployment in (selected regions of) the Indian market. The goal with the project is to create knowledge to be able to decide on continued innovation driven efforts in India.

The system collects energy from the sun, stores and transfers the energy to pots for cooking in an institutional setting, much in the same way as cooking is done today with wood fuel, but without the smoke, carbon dioxide emissions, and deforestation.

The system consists of three main elements: Solar collectors, thermosiphons, heat storage units and pot hearths or boilers.
