The project aims to balance the effect in decentralized electricity networks with help of a storage system, so-called Smartergy-Hubs.
Smartergy-Hubs recover and store energy with electricity from existing electricity grids, including volatile electricity production from renewable energy plants, hydrogen storage, hydrogen carriers (such as methanol, ammonia, compressed hydrogen) or batteries.
All energy storage systems connected to these Smartergy-Hubs are controlled by the digital AI-tool (Artificielle Intelligence - tool), Digitized Energy Efficiency Portal, DEEP (Digitized Energy Efficiency Portal) which predicts the energy needs through analysis of measurement data.
The AI-tool helps to adapt the energy mix, using flywheel technology, and makes it possible to balance the supply and demand of electricity in real time, optimize energy use and storage in order to reduce prices.
