Grant Description

We will undertake the feasibility steps for a comprehensive early detection programme for bladder cancer across Yorkshire. We will combine home urine dipstick self-testing with community early detection clinics.

We will examine 3 cohorts in parallel: - Cohort 1: 2,000 Research engaged male and female participants of the Yorkshire Lung Screening Trial (YLST) will undertake haematuria home testing. - Cohort 2 : 3,000 males will be randomsied to self-test for either haematuria or glycosuira using a reveal/conceal design - Cohort 3: NICE 2WW patients: Urology assessments (including cystoscopy, cytology and ultrasound) in 500 male and female patients within the NHS
